The picture of the 4th battalion, northumberland fusiliers - do they have tank markings as per bikes from later on in the war? I'd like to paint my bike with the insignia of the northumberland fusiliers. I've got the C number sorted out, I reckon it should wear the red TT on black square for 50th Northumberland Division but, what should it have on the offside of the petrol tank?
What sizes were the squares for divison & regiment too?
Cheers for any advice.
Don are you referring to the BEF period? I did some research before marking my Big4 and found that the 'TT' div patch for the RNF was a black circle, not square at that time. Maybe Rik might comment. Ron
