As you can see the frame was really bounced.. coz the spring leaf welded..
Also that rear drum brake and rear fender are from this rear part of the frame..
And maybe those front engine plates will help too..
hi your frame number should be on the headstock downtube on the left hand side if you were sat on the bike, but to me the frount diamond looks more like an a65 not m20 which has a single top bar. your engine however looks to be an early m20 engine if you go to the frame number page of this site you may get a better idea of its age. im no expert but it seems all the people in the know are in normandy for the d-day celebrations when they return you may get a positive answer from henk or ian wright hope this helps cheers rick
I am fairly sure that the front frame member is from a Raleigh, the two lugs on the top hold the pannier tanks (two tanks on both sides of the frame). Not sure which model but think 1931-1933 with sloping engine. Looks like this one but the front tube on yours is thicker and shorter :
Rear mudguard looks like prewar BSA, maybe the heavy rearframe also ??, Hope this helps,
Thanks guys!
I'm so confused coz oil tank and a gear box seems to bee 100% from G14. Frame similar too to G14.
But on the last pic I see something similar with my frame such an underseat frame area, a place for mounting muffle BUT looks like the other type of a rear axle plates and front tube.
And the funny thing that the seller told me that long ago when he find a bike there were TWO gas tanks!
