I have a petrol tank with a 'tap' shaped handle - it measures around 3in. I can't seem to get hold of a seal for it, they all refer to a 2.5in or a 3in screwed - any ideas where I could get one?
They were only a thin gasket, I will send you a piece of cork gasket material of the same thickness with the seat brackets. The easiest way to make it is to use a compass and draw a circles of the exact size, (it sits in a slight recess on the edge so allow a little bit extra for this) and then carefully cut it out with a razor blade or a stanley knife blade
Crikey Dave - you're the man! You have everything! If you could put it in with the bracket and let me know what I owe you that would be grand. In fact, I'll send you my brake shoes (that I meant to send you weeks ago) if you could do them when you get time (no hurry) then let me know what I owe you all together that would kill two birds with one stone.
