Could use comments on what the blackout cover dimensions just short of 6 inches in OD, may have been used for. Would it fit a James ML per chance? Lettering on top seems to be "L-WD-H"

Probably worth noting that both the Butler and Lucas version of this mask were of the earlier variety later superceded by the type with a fold up flap below the hood. This exposed a half-round glass which allowed more light to be shed on the road under non-blackout conditions.
