Hi all,
i removed my cylinder the other day, and checked the piston and valves, i am wondering about the second, lower oilscraper ring, should it be there? Would one not want some more oil in the barrel? I guess its not an original piston, should i leave as is, or just remove the lower ring?
A bit keen to put things together and go for a ride!

Hi Jerry...These pistons were fitted to industrial versions of the M20 (and M21) but will run quite happily in motorcycle applications with the additional scraper ring in place. I ran one for many years in one of my M21s without problems....Ian
