Nice picture of German scrapyard

Hi, found this picture on a Dutch calendar, it says German scrapyard after Dunkirk, 1940.

There are several early M20's, can't recognize the bike at the front, maybe Matchless?. Even the gun that the soldier is holding looks like M20. You can clearly see the early type of saddle with the rubber bands. Anyone know if the bands or still available or remade? Regards, Michiel

Michiel, I've had this picture of 'stupid boys' hanging in my shed for a while. Indeed the bike at the front is a Matchless G3. Ron

Haha, funny how this picture keeps surfacing! My picture, my calender!!

Seems like an M20 exhaust system allright!
