Wiring Queries

Hello,
I am actually doing the wiring for my M20 and the regulator doesn't seem to work. Can I use a 6v rectifier instead of this and make the regulator dummy. Is this kind of a modification possible? Please advice.

Re: Wiring Queries

You have a dynamo so you don't need a 'rectifier' to rectify ac to dc. Do you mean an electronic regulator ?

Many of us have a modern regulator hidden away in the old box. It's a fairly common modification and doesn't alter the riding experience.

There are several 'OK' dynamo regulators in the UK. Whereabouts are you located ?

Re: Wiring Queries

Hi Rik,

Thanks for the reply. I now understand the purpose of a rectifier. Actually I am a very ignorant. I thought a rectifier would do the job.
I live in India and my bike is a 1945 Model.
