Norton forum

Seems it has been taken over by a Facebook survey cookie.

Re: Norton forum

My work firewall won't let me access this or the WDNorton forum, i presume they are low/no cost hosting and in return show some interest in the habits of those who log on?

Re: Norton forum

Re: Norton forum

Henri -

No, you are not going crazy... I had the same series of full window Facebook and other ads that had no close button and when I would go back a page to try and get back to the forum, it was quite difficult and it often took me to other ads as well. It seems to be intermittent since most of the time I get the "usual" type of small ads.

By the way, I am using Firefox 3.

Re: Norton forum

Thanks John,

That was what I had also. Page could not be closed unless you accepted to respond to the add.

Re: Norton forum

That doesn't sound good. Are you using Firefox as well..?

I use Opera and it's a really quick browser.

Re: Norton forum

If you're using Firefox then it's worth using the AddBlock Plus add-on - If any pop ups get through, you can restrict them for the next time.

It works for me. I stopped using Google Chrome which I quite liked, simply because it let all the rubbish from Bravenet forums through.

Re: Norton forum

Yes, Firefox with the add-on; never problems

Re: Norton forum

It only happened on Safari, the Mac browser. Firefox so far, is okay.

Re: Norton forum

Added the Adblock Plus extension. So far so good, and in lots of websites!

Re: Norton forum

Well now we have that sorted, we just need people to use that forum
