from memory, there should be some sort of seal around the switch panel on the headlamp...was this an edge seal or string?
any one got some?

I have a NOS war time headlamp and there is dark red rubber wire like material between the headlamp and the panel woven from hole to hole in the headlamp shell.

It was round rubber string; last year I gave a couple of feet to Ian, or was it Ron? I still might have some if they don't have it any more.
