leather bags

Hi,
I have here 2 leather bags one is dated thombinson ltd 1943 and the other one bb ltd 1944. Does somebody know what they are used for? Are they britisch??
On the back there's a leather piece so you can put it to a bicycle or motorcycle.

They clip on the side of a Bren Gun Carrier and were used for ammunition. Rob.

Kristof, they are as Rob described. The TL number is a British Universal Carrier part number. CTL would be Canadian. Here is what they look like installed. They hook onto a metal rail. Ron
