help me please, am I doing it right but the upper pawl on the ratchet mechanism keeps fouling the starter ratchet.

Does it have to be trimmed or is it just poor assembly by me. (again)

Hi Pete...The two parts you mention are close but shouldn't contact each other. Have you had the gearbox apart?....Ian

Hi Ian,

yes had her apart and all is fine, gears can be selected ok but with ratchet assy in position it hits the start pinion. I'll take the cover off the spare one and look deeper
