I remember 'round about the third form, (1954), coming across a small group clustered around the end of the bicycle shed. It turns out they were listening to some kid playing a harmonica. He was quite good, and I was very impressed. When I was attending the technical college, one of the instructors arranged for us all to attend a piano recital. This was about 1959. The performer was the same person. It seems that he had graduated from harmonica to piano, and become quite an accomplished musician.
Does anyone know who this would be?
Bernard I responded to this on the wrong thread. I hadnt seen this original when I posted.
I only cmae to KBGS in 1958, so it wasnt me on the Harmonica, though by 1959 I was (sparing blushes) a pretty good pianist for my age. I got Associate Diploma (ALCM) in 1963 when I was 16.
A few years older than me and a good pianist was David Sadler, couldn't have been him. He would probably have been first/second form in 1954. He lives in New Zealand now
