I think it is likely that there are some of us who wouldn't mind communicating "off site" via e-mail, but who are reluctant to expose their "real" e-mail address out of fear of abuse, spam, etc.
My solution has been to set up "disposable" e-mail accounts that can be terminated at the drop of a hat should the need arise. Indeed I have quite a few. The address I posted recently "bflat12bar@yahoo.com" is such an address. I noticed Terry Marston has employed the same tactic by posting a "hotmail" address.
It is the easiest thing to do to aquire extra "throwaway" e-mail accounts. Google has recently started offering them under ".gmail.com" and Yahoo offers them under ".yahoo.com" similarly with Hotmail and lots of others. The biggest problem is trying to come up with a name that has not already been taken!
Don't let fear of abuse stop you from communicating by e-mail!
Quite so Bernard. Quite so. In the past I have tended to use famous British military heroes for my 'throw away' adresses. Churchill, Wellington and Nelson have all proved useful.
