The Summer of Love, 1967

1967 was 'The Summer of Love'. It started in San Francisco 40 years ago and spread around the world. I remember some lads from KBGS (later Oakbank) took it on board and acted accordingly.

Sex, drugs and rock'n roll. That's what I am on about. The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead etc. No nowt about shirtlifters and don't want to.

. . .and Gilbert Swift with flowers in his hair.

I was being facetious Steven, but back to the topic.
It’s interesting how different people have such different associations with a particular era. My music list would start with Procol Harum, The Who and, at the top, Jimi Hendrix.
However, the image of Gilbert Swift at Woodstock would have been a sight to treasure. Please stop it IW, I hurt my stomach laughing.
