Kevin Howley, (year above me ,and a former neighbour in Malsis Road), has been awarded an MBE on the Queens Birthday Honours list. It seems to be for services to Education, and also charity work. Congratulations to him.
He has recently retired after teaching at Oakbank for most of his career.

I guess there must be many old boys have had minor honours such as this, beside the more eminent old boys like Asa Briggs.
