SKIRROW L.G. (George)
Peacefully, in Manorlands, on April 8th, 2007, George, aged 81 years. The very dear husband of Leah and much loved father of Helen and Bob and a dear brother. The funeral will be held at 2.30pm, on Friday, April 20th, 2007, at Oakworth Crematorium. Family flowers only please, however if desired, donations in lieu of flowers, in memory of George, to Manorlands, Oxenhope. A plate will be provided at the service for this purpose.

I didnt know him, but I remember the name. Wasnt he an opening batsman, possibly for Keighley CC ?

Lionel Skirrow,known as George, was a schoolteacher at Haworth. He was an excellent cricketer and was captain of Keighley for several years. I referred to him on 5 April in the 6 and out thread.Cheers.
