Re: Dr Mike Jones -- adventurer and documentary film maker

Nope - wrong Jonah. This one's more egg bound than outward bound. And fortunately not yet dead. Getting there, though...If they ever give a prize in my honour I would like it to be a gold-plated fish supper or a sterling silver lamb bhuna. What prizes would you have them create in honour of your time on earth???

Re: Dr Mike Jones -- adventurer and documentary film maker

You've just shattered all my illusions Allan. I was so sure it must be you - the description seemed too apt for coincidence! (Obviously I didn't know about the drowning incident).
My prize? How about a pewter Yard of Guinness?

Re: Dr Mike Jones -- KBGS adventurer and documentary film maker

I knew ex-KBGS Doc Mike Jones very well and he was a thoroughly decent medical chap with extreme physical capability. Once after playing squash with his at Nab Wood -- just for fun -- he said he was making large sums from canoeing films back in the seventies. Sadly died not long after in the Himalayas. Who remembers him now.

Years at KBGS e.g. 1958-1964 (optional) 1961-68

Current location (optional) Auckland, New Zealand
