John Brian Wilcock

There may be a few old boys who remember John Brian Wilcock from Sutton in Craven who attended KBGS between 1944 - 48. The sad news of Brian’s death reached me this morning from Vancouver where he died on Sunday evening aged 85 yrs.
On leaving Keighley, Brian continued his education in Canada qualifying as a Dentist at McGill University before joining the Canadian Army for a while and subsequently setting up his own dental practice in Vancouver. An enthusiastic sportsman, Brian was a keen cricketer whose fast bowling skills were honed in Sutton Park and then practiced on a superb pitch in Stanley Park. He also adopted the Canadian sport of Curling. His wife Sonya died several years ago. He leaves two sons and two daughters.

Years at KBGS e.g. 1958-1964 (optional) 1945 - 50
