Two months have elapsed since I posted my query regarding Neville Stockdale and Jack Binns. Not one solitary reply. Got to say that I am disappointed but I guess that I have to accept the fact that there cannot be many of my contemporaries who are still drawing breath. Or, if they are still on the land of the living they never look a this web site. Pity! It would have been good to have known how life had treated Stockdale and Binns! Actually, I did speak with David Seeley on the phone and he told me that there were two Jack Binns', and that the one who had become a textile whizz kid had been in the 'B' form and that the cricketer had been in the 'A' form.
Thanks to the efforts of John Sayer of Goose Eye and David Seeley of Keighley, the mission to locate the whereabouts of two old classmates has been 50% successful. Dr Jack Binns has been located in Scarborough and we have made contact.
