It would appear that our school is going to be demolished in the near(?) future if 'The Utley centre' gets its way with BDMC.

There's a lot of real history in the site, not to mention the stained glass windows in the main staircase backing onto Lord Street.

'Progress' always seems to ignore built heritage. It should not be beyond the wit of the planning department to ensure that parts of the old building be retained, preserved and incorporated into the new build.

Fair point, Dave. But clearly their offices are respected in some quarters in that a former leader of the said BMDC has been granted a knighthood in recognition of his services to local government.
