FEARNSIDE Ian On September 23 2012 peacefully at home, Ian aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of Dorothy, much loved dad of Julia, Jennifer and Edward, very dear grandad of his 5 grandchildren and a loved brother in law. A private cremation service will take place on Tuesday October 2, followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Barnabas Church, Thwaites Brow at 12 noon. Family flowers only please but donations would be appreciated to Manorlands or R.N.L.I. A box will be provided at the church for this purpose or may be sent to David Gallagher Funeral Directors, Airedale House, Skipton Road, Utley, Keighley, BD20 6DT.

Are you referring to Rusty Guts the metalwork/woodwork teacher here. The one who taught us how to forge metal hooks and create dovetail joints? And used to whack pupils in 4C with a metal ruler on occasion. He used to wear a white coat which extremified his memorable ginger hair.
