Keighley Past and Present

Whilst searching for something else, I stumbled on this exceptional 162 page document. If you are interested, cut and paste the following link into your browser:

It is described as:

'...... a true and literal transcript taken from the original text of 'KEIGHLEY PAST AND PRESENT; or AN HISTORICAL, TOPOGRAPHICAL AND STATISTICAL SKETCH of THE TOWN, PARISH, AND ENVIRONS of KEIGHLEY, INCLUDING Riddlesden, Marley, Hainworth, and some other places in the contiguous PARISH OF BINGLEY: LIKEWISE AN ACCOUNT OF THE ANCIENT FAMILIES WHICH HAVE FLOURISHED THEREIN .......'

Forgot to mention; there is an historical reference to 'The Free Grammar School on Page 36

Thanks Dave. Started to read it but it is a long document so it'll have to wait until I'm less tired. In the meantime, where is, or was, Paternoster Row?

Paternoster Row was in London where this was published.
