I'm a bit puzzled about this. The title "University Academy Keighley" implies that the school is one of those that took the money and ran, under the Academies Act. Schools were offered a financial incentive to opt out of Local Authority control. The previous government was keen, and the current government is keener, to reduce the role of LAs and take control towards central government.
Academies have to have "sponsors" (who don't need to contribute financially), and the link with Bradford University would imply that that is the case.
However, checking on the SSAT (Specialist Schools and Academies Trust) website, I can not find "University Academy Keighley" listed.
Curiouser and curiouser!
A small part of a sinister plan (??) to disestablish state education, presently under the indirect control of its users, and place it in the hands of independent alternative providers who can easily isolate and ignore their dissatisfied and dissident clients.
