Recently wanted an overnight stay at the Wyke Down, however on a bank holiday weekend they would not take anything less than a 3 night booking. The contempt and rudeness they showed me, and again to a friend who tried again a few weeks later, betrayed their real feelings towards their customers.

The food too is designed to exploit their captive audience. Priced like a restaurant, their sprawling, atmosphereless pub serves 1980s style pub-grub. Beware.
