I have recently started caravaning and have visited this site twice for a number of weeks each time. All the touring pitches are fully serviced and have side area for an awning which is astro turfed which is excellent. The site is close to Southport and all its amenities as well as Ormskirk and its open market.I has a good play area for children. There are some good deals to be had during off peak times. All the staff are helpfull and friendly. The toilet facilities are clean and ample however they are sometimes used by some of the static caravan owners. The site is situated alongside the Leeds and Liverpool canal which is accessed via a gate. There are a number of pubs nearby which serve food which tends to be overpriced as they have forgotten it is pub food and not 5 star eating. The only adverse comment i can make is that it has plenty of dog owners of which a small minority dont clean up after their dogs. They also have a sister site which also looks excellent. I will continue to visit this site as it is within a short drive for me.
