camping

Camped at Wayside for one night October 2008 while the kids were at their dads to practise putting our tent up as we'd never put a tent up before and it's an 8 man.
The owners of the site left us to our own devices, which I prefer, and the site was quiet and picturesque. If you want a quiet, peaceful holiday this is the type of place to be.
The toilet block is fairly new. Seperate mens and womens each with two toilets and a shower room which costs 50 pence and lasts for 5 minutes, which is long enough. There was only one sink for washing up but as it's a small site it probably wouldn't cause too many problems.
There are plenty of electric hook ups and a tap as well so no traipsing off to the toilet block to fill the kettle.
The only moan I have is that the grass was abit long and cos it rained we got soaking wet feet when we went to the loo.
All in all,a pleasant site. Peaceful except for the mooing of cows, lovely views, clean toilets and plenty of places to see and great for walks.
Watch out for the three pheasants that stroll around the site!
