Stayed here july 16 and boy did we relax! Booked for 3 night , ended staying 7. so peaceful and relaxing. many of the others on site had stayed longer than planned or were planning to stay longer. 1 minute walk to the beautiful beach, an abundance of wildlife all around the site, seen eagles, otters, dolphins, and a basking shark at the NW point. We even caught sight of the elusive corncrake, got pictures too.
The site facilities are very good, a new toilet & shower block with laundry facilities and an indoor dish washing facility in a separate building with indoor storage for our bikes which we also used to dry out our water proofs when were caught in a shower when walking our dog. EHU & CDP & lots of knowledgeable tips from the site owners that helped us get the most out of our time on Barra.
Well spaced grassy pitches and no extra charge for our awning and on one evening live music from the owner on violin and flute along with two campers, guitar and squeeze box, very impromptu get together but enjoyed by all.
We have already booked to return 2017. see you there.
