We visited 20/08/2007 - 27/08/2007
This site has 160 pitches but I would say at least 50% are season pitches there is:
2 Toilet/shower blocks
Small shop and cafe
Children's play area
Laundry: 2 washing machines 2 tumble dryers
My visit to this site was a mixed bag of feeling. Would I go back? NO
We had an excellent holiday but this was due to visiting places round and about.
We was greeted by a polite site owner who booked us in and escorted us to our pitch.
The pitch was quite level but a little muddy (not the sites fault)
I was impressed with the large toilet/Shower block there was 6 showers and approx 14 loos (I didn't count) BUT it was 20p for a 4 min shower of 50p for 10 mins (my pet hate paying for showers) You had to put your money in outside and then wait in the cubicle for the water to start twice I got dressed again to see if my money had drooped through as I had no water.
By the Friday the site was chocca block I was in the reception getting change and a lady came in to book in only to be told the site was full. She wasn't at all happy as she had been told the week before just to turn up.
On the Saturday I went for a shower and joined the other six lady's who was waiting only for the water to stop one poor lady came out of the cubicle covered in bubbles. I went to reception to report that the water had stopped only to be told be the site owner that the water pressure had dropped and he couldn't do anything about it.
I later went and used the other block which had 2 showers and 2 loos, showers were 50p and cold.
Kids were playing cricket/football and using bubbles on the camping field I stopped counting the amount of time our unit got hit by a ball.
