Our first visit since just after the club took it over
As usual with club sites the grounds were immaculate and the toilet and shower block were spotless. However the facilities do not appear to have changed markedly during the time that the club has had it. The toilet cubicles are still extremely narrow. Take care not to get jammed between the toilet roll holder and the wall! There is no heating at all in the main part of the toilet block, and it was very cold in May. Luckily, the showers are electric, because the boiler(s) don't seem able to cope and the hot water to basins, dish washing and laundry facilities is tepid. The camp site wardens and assistants are very friendly and helpful. The people of Poolewe are friendly. There is an indoor market at the village hall on a Tuesday. Plenty of original souvenirs and some local produce when we went. Tea and cakes too!

Re: Our first visit since just after the club took it over
why is it when that in many sites operated by major clubs like the camping and caravanning club and the caravan club fit loo roll holders in a position that almost makes it impossible to sit down without almost dislocating your back. after all the thought that goes into making some superb sites that a basic thing like this goes amiss!
