Canada prepares pandemic response plan as coronavirus cases continue to climb

Canada is preparing to respond to a possible pandemic as the number of coronavirus cases continues to climb around the globe.

Chief Public Health Officer Theresa Tam said the global threat posed by the novel coronavirus, which can lead to a respiratory illness called COVID-19, is evolving fast. While the outbreak continues to be contained mostly to the epicentre in Hubei, China, she noted that the virus is spreading now at the community level, person-to-person, in several other countries.
"These signs are concerning, and they mean that the window of opportunity for containment ... for stopping the global spread of the virus, is closing," Tam told reporters in a teleconference Monday.

"It also tells countries like Canada, that have been able to manage and detect cases so far, that we have to prepare across governments, across communities, and as families and individuals, in the event of more widespread transmission in our community."

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern, but so far hasn't declared it a pandemic.

Tam said the trajectory of the coronavirus is unknown at this time and it's possible that cases have occurred in other countries that don't have the proper tools to diagnose and contain it.

Canada developed a pandemic response plan in 2009, which would serve as the foundation for any shift in the official response to the current outbreak, she said.

The response plan includes accelerating research work here and contributing to international efforts to develop a vaccine abroad. Tam said it also could lead to expanding laboratory testing capabilities and access to diagnostic tools, and taking stock of essential supplies to make sure authorities don't run short. She added that Canada's course of action would be much the same whether the WHO declares a pandemic or not.

Containment efforts
Health Minister Patty Hajdu said Monday that a pandemic declaration by the WHO would render travel restrictions meaningless because it would mean that efforts to contain the virus had failed.

"As the window closes in terms of stopping the global spread, as we watch the WHO assess whether or not this is a full pandemic, obviously our attention turns more toward our domestic preparedness and what Canada can do to make sure our system and structures are ready for a change in our own population," she said.

The WHO said today that China has reported 77,362 cases of COVID-19, including 2,618 deaths.

Canadians being told to prepare for a possible novel coronavirus pandemic

As novel coronavirus outbreaks spread across a growing list of countries, Canadians are being warned to prepare for a possible pandemic.

In a shift from previous messages, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Theresa Tam acknowledged Monday that Canada may no longer be able to contain and limit the virus if it continues to spread around the world. She said governments, businesses and individuals should prepare for an outbreak or pandemic.

“We are coming to similar conclusions,” agreed Dr. Vera Etches, the City of Ottawa’s top health officer, on Monday. “It looks like it is going to be more and more difficult to contain this virus and it may well evolve into a pandemic. That would change the efforts to contain every last case and contact.”

Etches said people can take steps now, at home and at work, to prepare.

Some of those steps include stocking up on needed prescriptions ahead of time so there is no need to do so during a possible pandemic. She also recommended people stock up on non-perishable food.

“Imagine if someone was ill for a week. What would you need?”

She said there are ongoing discussions about setting up an assessment centre outside of hospitals to reduce pressure on the health system.

“The global risk situation is evolving,” said Tam, noting that the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, has grown beyond its epicentre in China to include rapid community spreading in several countries. “The window for containment is closing. These signs are worrisome.”

She made the comments shortly after Ontario and British Columbia confirmed their latest cases of novel coronavirus, bringing the Canadian total to 11. In Ontario, a woman in her twenties, who returned to Toronto after travelling in China, is the latest presumptive case. The patient has only mild symptoms and has isolated herself, say Ontario health officials.

Health officials are also tracing contacts after a woman arrived in Vancouver from Iran, by way of Montreal, with novel coronavirus. A man who was a close contact of the woman, has been confirmed as the country’s 11th case.

Iran is now home to an epidemic with 13 confirmed deaths, according to the government. Italy is the site of Europe’s first outbreak. The country locked down at least 12 communities and cancelled a Venice carnival after six deaths as of Monday. South Korea also has a growing outbreak as do anumber of other countries.

On Monday, Tam said it’s possible novel coronavirus is present in countries that don’t have the capacity to detect and monitor it, which makes trying to identify potential cases coming into Canada at the border increasingly difficult.

Countries like Canada have, so far, succeeded in identifying and containing the virus to a few, mostly mild, cases. But if there are more and more countries involved, she said, the border measures used to identify potential cases might no longer be effective or feasible.

“This is something we have to be prepared for.”Tam said the quickly evolving situation tells Canada and other countries “that we have to prepare in the event of more widespread transmission in our communities.”

Given the global situation, Tam said it will be very difficult to stop the virus from spreading, but slowing it down is Canada’s goal.

Delaying the onset of a broader outbreak in Canada could put it beyond seasonal flu and virus season, which would take pressure off the health system and give officials and individuals more time to prepare.

Take all precautions you possibly can; remember the saying; cleanliness is next to godliness. Keep you hands clean, and away from you eyes, nose and mouth. Try to prepare the best you are able too, right now. Remember when the panic sets in and crowds are rushing to the pharmacy for their meds, grocery stores for food; the shelves will quickly get empty. There is no time like the present to do something right now. Even a little is better than nothing at all.

I believe, the Rapture must be closer than ever right now; and we need to be filled with prayer, and stick close to God's holy word, and lean on Jesus for understanding.

Right now I have peace, that surpasses all understanding; only God can grant this peace. I'm so very grateful, as I put my entire faith on the Lord. I know God loves His people and He will provide whatever, that which we are unable to; during these days just before the Rapture.

Don't worry, God knows and sees all that is going on. Let go and let God handle the things we are not able too handle. There is nothing impossible for God our Father, as He keeps us safe under His wings.

I hope that the Rapture really is scheduled to happen this year, and I pray that God will Rapture us before this pandemic shuts all of the businesses, schools, government offices, mail deliveries, etc., down. We will not long survive under those conditions if we're still here when that happens. We don't live in the conditions that people lived in during the Spanish flu epidemic of 1918. People could still manage to function and survive, the flu danger notwithstanding, if they couldn't go to work, go to the store, send their kids to school, etc. Today's conditions are such that we are literally dependent on the grid, on regular deliveries, on being able to shop, etc., just to stay alive. If any of that shuts down nationwide or worldwide, the danger of the coronavirus will quickly become the least of our problems. Starvation will become the next big danger.

I pray, therefore, that if that's going to actually happen, God will have pity on us, His Church, and Rapture us before those deadly conditions set in. I pray that He will take every person who has accepted Jesus as Savior and every child under the age of accountability before the coronavirus really does become a dangerous pandemic. If He's going to take us anyway, I pray He'll take us in the Rapture, not through death by starvation or coronavirus.

Meanwhile, I can only thank the Lord that the coronavirus has not yet entered the United States. We're safe here in Oklahoma, and if my prayers are answered, we will remain safe--at least until the Rapture, anyway!

I believe, all that is happening now, is a huge sign that Jesus is coming at any time now.

God so loved the world that He send His only begotten Son, Jesus, to save the world from their sin,
and eternal punishment in hell. I believe, God the Father has given the lost, many times to turn from theirs sins, and turn to Jesus for salvation.

There are those who believe the corona virus is a supernatural virus sent from heaven, and some in fear/shame/repentance of their sins, have and are turning to the Bible for answers. This is like a last chance affect before, the great tribulation starts. During which time such greatest suffering and tribulation will dwell on this earth, liken to anything that has every been seen, or experienced before; so horrific, diabolical, destructive, sending many hell-bound.

This is something the Lord has laid on my heart over and over again, during this pandemic to each nation on earth, especially the nations of Americas. Sins of all nations cry up to the Father, to take action; mercy and forgiveness, or more suffering, destruction, chastisement, punishment, wrath, death, pandemics, if they don't turn to God.

I ask, how does it end, for those nations that do not heed God's word; will they exist in the future? ? The Bible spells it out word for word.

Many of you are wondering what happened to my channel. It was there one minute and then it wasn't, and then it was back on a couple of days later but know the videos are on private. Let me walk you through whats been happening. The last few days have been rough for me. Never experienced intense Spiritual Warfare as i have in these last few days.

So basically, my last video was titled " Counterfeit Christianity". The whole point of the video was to show that there are many many people out there professing the name of Jesus Christ. They call themselves Christians because they were baptized as an infant, or said a little prayer when they were four years old. Many wear cross necklaces or cross tattoos or show up to Church every Sunday or twice a year and think that somehow makes them a Christian. There is a MAJOR difference between professing something and truly believing and putting your full faith and trust in something.

The Bible make it very clear that one must be born again ( John 3:1-8 ). We are all born into this world through our mothers womb ( Born of the flesh ), and Jesus makes it very clear that we must be born again of the Spirit ( John 3:3 ) . There must be a conversion...and this conversion occurs when you put your full faith and trust in the blood Jesus shed for you on the cross at Calvary, and in His death, burial, and resurrection! The Gospel of YOUR Salvation is very clearly found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and Romans 10:9-10.

Religion can't save you. Jesus wants a relationship with you....not Religion!
Religion says do! Jesus says Done!

Once you are Born Again and have put your full faith and trust in Jesus blood, and in His death, burial, and resurrection, The Holy Spirit comes inside of you as a new creature in Christ! You are new! And Jesus clearly has called us to walk in Newness of life:

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Anyways! After i had put out my last video...hundreds of comments and emails came against me saying i am " Back loading works into salvation". This is absolutely false!!!! Our works never save us and i have never said that!!!

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE ALONE, THROUGH FAITH ALONE, IN CHRIST ALONE!!!
However once the Holy Spirit comes inside of us as new creatures in Christ...we are CALLED to walk in Newness of life! Not because it saves us..or keeps us saved...but because the power of the Holy Spirit transforms lives !

The reason i had temporarily disabled my channel is because several people had taken different videos i had done and twisted my words and tried to say i was adding works into salvation...which is absolutely false! I have said that i do believe once you are truly saved...there should be evidence of that over time as the power of the Holy Spirit transforms us ( Sanctification ). We will never be perfect. We will never be sinless. But we will sin- less with the Holy Spirit indwelling the true Believer.

Our attitude toward sin should change as a new creature in Christ..we will never be sinless....but as a new creature in Christ..we are called to walk in Newness of life ( Jesus said this...not me ) and we don't want to return to that vomit we were living in before we became new creatures in Christ.
Anyways...the bottom line is with the confusion surrounding my last video and the hundreds of comments and emails and people using other videos i had done to twist my words to make it seem like i was preaching a works- based salvation message i thought it best to put the videos on private for now. I will be back i just need to make some additional changes to the Channel and need time in prayer and in the word ...and i will come back even stronger and hopefully this statement helps some of you understand why i did what i did! If you have followed me for a while...you should already know that this is exactly what i have been saying for years!!!

That’s an actual photo from the current California wildfires, and the perfect image for 2020, the year that God began to judge the earth and its people.
