1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

in desperate need for comfort

Hello everybody,

I am overwhelmed by everything. My life continues to be very difficult and lonely. I miss my family so much these days and it is getting harder to be alone. My finances are not good. My jobs very unstable. I have a car sitting in the parking lot for over a year. I don't have enough money to insure it and get it on the road and I really want to stop taking public transit and use a car. I am also worried the car will have so many problems if it's not moving. I need comfort. I need prayers. thank you

Re: in desperate need for comfort

Dear Sister Heidi,

I am moved by our Precious Lord Jesus to say that you are not alone, He cares for you, He knows what you are going through and will help you in response to your cry for help.

I am lifting you up in prayer now and in the coming days, may you experience a peace in your heart and comfort from our Dear Lord Jesus, simply knowing and trusting that HE CARES FOR YOU.I pray also for relief of the tight circumstances you are facing and ask that the Dear Lord release to you some material helps as well.

The many trials that the saints are suffering under right now, as we come ever closer to the day of Christ's return for His people, is nothing compared to the GLORY that SHALL be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18) This verse has been repeatedly given to me by our Precious Lord Jesus in the trials I have been going through for some time and I want to pass it along to you as His promises are there for ALL His dear children.

With Love and Prayers and Blessings, Dear Heidi,

Michelle.

Re: in desperate need for comfort

Hi Michelle,
Thank you so much for your prayers and for comforting me. Did you sense that help is on the way? I can't hang in there anymore. I need a major breakthrough. Thank you. You really comforted me this morning.

Re: in desperate need for comfort

Dear Heidi,

Though you feel unable to hang in there, simply HANG ON to Jesus - it has worked for me through some devastating times. Ask the Dear Lord Jesus to "hang on to you" because you can't do the "hanging on" yourself. HE WILL.

The whole chapter of Romans 8 is a wonderful comfort for those suffering as you are. These verses have also been highlighted for me many times and recently.

ROMANS 8:18 -39.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Holding you up in prayer,Heidi, and asking for the Lord to give you that Peace that only He can give,

In Jesus' Love,

Michelle.

Re: in desperate need for comfort

Heidi, I hear you dear Sister in Christ, loud and clear. The Lord gave me these verses listed below, which immediately came to my mind. I believe they are for you.

KJV
The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

English Standard Version
Psalm 34:17–19

17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears

and delivers them out of all their troubles.

18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted

and saves the crushed in spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,

but the Lord delivers him out of them all

Oh dear Heidi, I can attest to these verses above as well, going through so much myself, with so many trials therefore, I emphasis, with you, with Michelle and all of God's dear children who may be experiencing, varies, trials, afflictions, and troubles in their lives.

Just know that God loves you and the good Lord will deliver you out of "all" your troubles. We have this promise in scripture to believe and hold on to God's holy word as a sure thing, that God will deliver us out of all of them..not just some.

I ask myself many times who can I turn to, if not to the Lord in good times and especially in troubling times.

In times of tribulation, trials, troubles, it brings me "closer to the Lord, more in prayer and a closer walk".

I know God hears my prayers when God answers prayers accordingly, in His time frame, but He always answers.

Just knowing the sheer joy of deliverance from my troubles, when the time arrives, gives me such great happiness and awareness, that I'm not alone. Knowing my Father in Heaven has listened, heard, and answered my cries. It reassures me, our creator God is good, and so are His promises. We can stand on His word and His promises are for His children, for God is true and faithful.

Know you are in my daily prayers along with Michelle, and everyone here. God knows all our needs, and He loves to hear our conversations with Him, in prayer, on a daily basis.

Lord meet the needs of your daughter, as she grows closer in a deeper conversation relationship with the Lord through her daily prayers and strengthen her faith in your holy word that the promises are for her as well. In Jesus' holy name I Pray! Amen & Amen!

In Jesus' Love,

Valerie

Heidi today's promise from God's word for all who struggle our daily toils against present darkness.

"Fair Use for Information & Discussion Purposes"

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Reflection
Our struggles, our battles, our daily toiling against the forces of this present darkness are naught compared with the marvellous riches and captivating glory to which we are called and in which we will soon partake. What matter our suffering? What matter our failures? What matter any measure of suffering when held against the surpassing beauty and permanence of our heavenly hope!

Re: in desperate need for comfort

Dear Michelle, Valerie and Amanda,

Thank you for all that you have written for me. Thank you for your prayers and for comforting me.

I want so badly to go back to my family. I have struggled a lot in North America by myself and I feel that I can't face things on my own anymore. Also, yesterday my car wouldn't start. I need to find a kind neighbor who will help me figure out what is wrong. I really don't want to lose my car. I want to get it on the road. I am so tired of long commutes on the bus.
I also don't want to go to bed at night because I wake up every morning with sad and tormenting thoughts.
I have been in touch with my family. I am trying to figure out where to go from here.
Hugs to all of you .

Re: in desperate need for comfort

Dear Heidi,

I was thinking of you today and wanted to ask how you are doing?

I'm lifting you in prayer today, and want you to know that the LORD is watching over you.

Keep hanging on to Jesus, He loves you, and will never leave you or forsake you.

with Love and prayers, in Jesus' Name,

Michelle.

Re: in desperate need for comfort

Dear Michelle, Thank you so much for thinking about me. I am touched. I have been talking to my sister and she invited me to visit her in Europe for Christmas. I want to go so badly and I can't wait. However, now, I might be forced to sell my car to afford a plane ticket.
I have been so sad about having to sell my car. I never had one and was always using public transit and I can't take it anymore. I don't want to lose it. I need to find a full -time job asap so I can keep the car and get the ticket. However, if I get a full-time job, what if they don't give me 3 weeks off for Christmas time. I even would love to be with my family for 4 weeks. With a part-time teaching job, I can go away for 3 to 4 weeks easily.
I am praying for a full time job soon with a compassionate employer who would let me go away for at least 3 weeks. thank you Michelle.

Re: in desperate need for comfort

Heidi,

Prayers going up for you and others in need, nightly. I'm trusting the Lord, to meet all of your needs, today, tomorrow and in the future. Heaven is our home, we're only passing through here on Earth, until Jesus comes a calling us home.

Jesus loves you, and all of His own. Lean on Him daily, for comfort, and understanding. Take one day at a time.
Jesus said be anxious for nothing. Take all, to God in prayer and have faith, that God has your best interest in mind. After all is said and done, you are a child of God, and the Lord wants what is best for His own.

In Jesus' Love,

Valerie
