1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

A Death in the Family - Please pray.

The day of my surgery, Feb 11th, our daughter-in-law's Father "Antonio" passed away at 8:45 am in hospital, after a long illness and having a stroke. Today, we will be attending his funeral and burial. Please pray for Gloria, Paul, and her family, especially her Mother, Marlene for strength, to endure today and every day forth, without their loved one. May God's love fill the void they will feel.

Antonio was a very kind & cheerful man, who accepted the Lord Jesus as his Lord and Savior, decades ago. We know that he truly is at rest and peace, with the light of God shining upon him. Surely, the Lord has prepared a special place for him and for all who love the Lord. May we all be reunited with Antonio one day in heaven, especially with our dearly departed loved ones.

Rest, in peace "Antonio" age 88

In Jesus' Love,

Valerie

Re: A Death in the Family - Please pray.

Thank You, Amanda, Michelle, & Heidi,

For your comforting comments and prayers.

Our daughter in law, is taking it one day at a time; she was very close to her Father. Her biological Mother died when she was only 6 years old, therefore, Marlene & Antonio raised Gloria, and her brothers together.

The funeral was a closure for the family, which was much needed. I had a chance to speak, and tell everyone present, that Antonio received Jesus decades ago, therefore, his journey has ended here, and his new life in heaven with Jesus had begun. It was such a honor to mention that because of Jesus in his life, we know where Gloria's Father is this very day.

When I finished speaking, The Reverend read:

I Am the Resurrection and the Life

John 11:25

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die."

It was if Jesus had spoken these words, at Antonio's funeral, because it confirmed to me, that he is alive, because Jesus lives.

Then Reverend called Antonio a righteous man made through accepting Jesus, as his Lord and Savior. I could picture in my mind, Jesus standing before God the Father, in front of Antonio, claiming him as one of the Lord's own.

There were others who spoke as well, Paul's heartfelt speech brought tears to my eyes. His father in law was loved much by many , especially by Paul. Gloria, tried her best and spoke on her Father's behalf, and stated it was the hardest speech ever for her, which is understandable.

All went well, as well as in the graveyard, the burial, prayers, and farewells until we meet again.

Today is Paul's Birthday 47 years old, the same age I was when my Mother died. A quiet dinner out for both of them, and rest at home afterwards.

God is good, and we all know, that if we have Jesus, we know where our eternal home is, not to worry, isn't that such a awesome thought, to know, there is a place prepared for us. One day, whether by death or Rapture, whatever comes first for each one of us, we will be with our Lord Jesus forevermore.

In Jesus' Love,

Valerie
