1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

My Absence Explained

Hi Fellow RFTHees!

Yes, just as my subject title emplies...

I'm very sorry for my long absence from our RFTH board. The blame can be placed squarely on the PC folks who want to add nonsensical programs to our PCs...such as a program that I don't deal with, because I "DON'T" do cellphones. I'm a landline only subscriber!!! So therefore--I had to stay off of my computer this long to get that message across to them.

Hopefully 'n' prayfully, they've gotten my message that I just DON'T want it--PERIOD!!! I promise to post more on RFTH more, providing the above explained no more hindrances. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

Re: My Absence Explained

I'm glad you're back, Tammy!

Re: My Absence Explained

Tammy, I'm glad you're back too!

Many are now tired of watching for the Lord's return at the Rapture, and have gone to sleep...Some are even doubting the Rapture will take place at all, so I've heard.

Let me just add, what is written in scripture will come to pass, including, the Rapture, all at the precise moment the good Lord chooses.

It's getting very lonely for us who are watching, for many of the Christian brethren, have gone their own separate ways, and have left those few who are still watching for the blessed hope, very alone. Could this also be another prophetic sign of the Lord's coming at the Rapture too? There has been a great falling away, from faith in the Lord's, coming in the clouds at the Rapture to gather His bride unto Himself.

Dictionary description of the word "faith"
faith (fāth)►
n. Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing.
n. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See Synonyms at belief, trust.
n. Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one's supporters.

I'm still holding on to the faith, that Jesus WILL come at the Rapture, and take His own, home to heaven,
imminently. I'm praying that God will help me to hold on to my faith of the Lord's coming at the Rapture, for it's not easy at times, especially, when you see things getting worse in the world, almost on a daily basis now. When we look at our own personal problems, the loss of health, finances, relationships, etc, it can multiple a greater urge within us, for the Rapture to occur.

Remember my dear brethren in Christ Jesus, we need to pray daily, read God's word for truth and knowledge of what is yet to come, and finally, to support the group of Christians still watching for Jesus' coming with encouraging one another of the Lord's coming at the Rapture.

Come Lord Jesus Come for your bride! Amen!

Re: My Absence Explained

Yes Valerie, it is a sign in itself that so many are sleeping at this hour. I have to admit that I have lost some excitement but I KNOW Jesus is coming for us. He’s the only one we can trust to keep His Word and it will not return void. I’m trying to stay busy working with the children at my church and trying to keep my mind off the waiting and longing for Jesus to snatch us. I’m appalled at all the evil I see in my own town and everywhere else on the news. It can’t be too much longer. I wish we were closer in distance to each other to meet and fellowship and talk about the signs we are seeing. There’s sooo many false profits now that I’m not even sure if any are legit. I pray we see each other soon and I pray this is the year! Please Jesus Come!

Re: My Absence Explained

Hi Stephanie, good to hear from you, and good to know you are working with children in church. I remember in my younger years, I too, taught children in Sunday school, and it was such a reward in itself. That very year the whole Sunday school class, grade 4's, prayed the sinners prayer, and accepted Jesus into their hearts and very souls; it was an awesome experience.

I received a very thoughtful, honest, and similar letter from one of our dear brothers in Christ, who has been a devout reader here at RFTH. He mentioned that he misses the updates on the coming from the Lord, from brethren in Christ, and he too sees that many have gone in different directions, as their excitement has died down, for the Lord's coming at the Rapture. The saddest part is that some wonderful born again Christians, have separated themselves from those few who are still watching, going as far as too part as internet friends in Christ.

I know that even I have lost that great excitement for the Lord's coming, that I once had, but I never lost faith, or hope in the Lord's coming at the Rapture. I therefore, continue to strive to move forward, and continue the watch which I began decades ago. I strive to continue on a daily basis, as long as the good Lord wills for me to do so here at RFTH; because it will happen. Until then, even if I'm the only one left posting, I will faithfully continue, and keep praying that the Lord will once again, ignite that fervent excitement with accurate prophecies of the Lord's coming. It is nearer then ever before, and the signs continue to point to the Lord's coming is at the door.

This past year for me, has been very trying, going through cancer second time around and two surgeries, just months apart, left me feeling exhausted, downright depressed at times, and unmotivated to go on with regular life and living, here on earth, and left me wondering; "why are we all still here"? Who is that last person that must be saved, before the Rapture takes place? What now Lord?

Surely, God sees, our sadness and sorrows, our longing for His coming at the Rapture, yet are we being tested further to see if we are still watching?. What keeps continuously coming to my mind is, just like it does in our dear brother in Christ mind, "wait a little bit longer", that it's about to happen. What immediately came to mind is the part of the scripture where it states "when we LEAST EXPECT IT, that's when Jesus will come". If there ever was a time when most Christian are "LEAST EXPECTING JESUS TO COME, IS RIGHT NOW". Therefore, Jesus must be coming any time now, if we believe what scripture is telling us, and I do believe; Amen & Amen!

Maranatha,

In Jesus' Love,

Valerie

P.S. Please pray for me, as I mention everyone who posts or reads here, in my daily prayers. I pray for all here, for Body & Soul Salvation, and will now add, and ask the Lord to rekindle the fire in ALL of us for His coming at the Rapture.

Re: My Absence Explained

Valerie, I hate that you have suffered from cancer and depression. I have had many trials this past couple years and I know we are not alone.

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” -Jesus (John 16:33)

It will all be ok no matter what you are going through. We won’t see the big picture until Heaven but we can trust God while we wait. Love you guys!

Re: My Absence Explained

Hello Valerie and all!

I can wholeheartedly relate to you Valerie and Stephanie! Tammy thank you for starting this thread!! It’s been how I’ve been feeling .. removed, a little sad, lost and just feeling impatient 😕sorry Jesus!! He back in April of this year laid on my heart patience! Somehow he knows this anxious heart .. so ready!! It seems like a lull even amidst the volcanos and birth pangs getting extremely closer!! We gotta STAY STRONG IN HIM! Stay close to him .. pray.. PRAY ALOT!! Israel 🇮🇱 is never been so surrounded as today and prophecy is ready to be fulfilled! Maybe this is a big sign ..!! He had said to me back in 2008 “don’t be taken by surprise”

Stay awake all and praying for you Valerie tonight!

Re: My Absence Explained

Oh and just one more thing... I hope my “absence” is explained by the rapture!😆😇🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💃🏻🆙⬆️🔜🎉🎉🎉🎇🎺🎺🎺👰🏻☀️🌈Amanda! 😉

Re: My Absence Explained

Hi Amanda it's good to hear from you again too.

Thank you Stephanie & Amanda for your encouragement, and prayers; we all could use both, in these days we're living in today.

I will continue to keep in mind that all that is happening in our lives will too end one day. Our blessed hope is the Lord's coming at the Rapture, and I'm praying God will divinely intervene, and ignite that fire we were on watching for the Lord's coming in the beginning. After all Jesus loved us first, and He too is the Christian's first love; therefore, lets return with a burning desire, of the Lord's coming,as we continue watching, sharing, and praying, for that day to finally arrive. Nothing has to happen before the Rapture takes place as far as the timeline is concerned.

My Absence too will be due to the Rapture occurring imminently, or death, whichever comes first for me; only God knows which one and when; hoping and praying it's the Rapture first.

Maranatha!

Valerie

Re: My Absence Explained

Hi Tammy, Valerie, Kathy, Stephanie, Amanda and all who read RFTH,

I just wanted to chime in and say that I'm still here too, watching, praying for this fellowship, and looking for our precious Jesus to arrive very soon. Like for many of you, each day is a challenge to get through, hanging on by my fingertips, but Praise the LORD His Everlasting Arms are beneath us, holding us up -each and every one.
Though there are many sadnesses and sometimes fears and threats, JESUS, the Captain of our Salvation is on His way to take us home.
Praying for all the brothers and sisters here, who are faithfully watching still, a special blessing of strength and courage from our Faithful & Loving Saviour to sustain us all to the end.

May Blessings abound to you all while we continue to watch and wait,

Michelle.

Re: My Absence Explained

Hi Michelle, & All Faithful Rapture Watchers:

Michelle, I'm glad to hear you chime in as well, great news to know there are still faithful ones, keeping the watch for the Lord's coming at the Rapture. "Jesus' Coming is Imminent; Amen!!!

I can't stop the watch for Jesus, and especially, the longing for the Lord's coming, come what may. Jesus commanded us to watch for His coming so we wouldn't be caught unaware. This is what we have been doing all along, because we love the Lord, and long to be with Him, in His kingdom; be it in heaven first and then on earth. One brother in Christ who wrote and sent, his email to me, titled it "Rapture Fatigue". Yes it is, however I would add, it is more of a "Rapture WATCHERS Fatigue". The faithful watchers, need to rise up and awaken to God's Holy written word for encouragement and continue to encourage one another with it, to the best of their ability. We all have spiritual gifts from the Lord, which we should accelerate into action/motion, especially, each time God's Holy Spirit moves us to do so. Listen to God's word, as it speaks truth, knowledge, and encouragement.

My encouraging scriptural verse to start with will be as follows:

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Yes comfort one another with these word, from the scriptures in the Bible.

Jesus will Come, Hallelujah & Amen!!!!

Valerie

Re: My Absence Explained

Hi again, Valerie and all at RFTH,

The verse that immediately came to mind after reading the one above was,

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

A couple of things to note about this verse:-

1) We are told not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together
- we assemble together for encouragement even here on the internet, mainly in these last of last days because it is for many the only fellowship available.

2) The reason is to exhort or encourage one another – and even more so – since we see the Day of the Lord approaching so quickly. Only those who ARE watching can see this Day approaching, so it is particularly addressed to faithful watchers (imho)
Many of us have been and are still going through intense trials and it is my guess that this is why so many are quiet. Rather than berate them, my heart is to encourage them to “chime in” when and as they are able.
I believe that the LORD is beginning to lift his weary ones up again after a long season of hard things and this because our redemption is drawing near, very near.

I once heard it taught that the Greek word in this verse that has been translated as “the assembling of ourselves together” is speaking more about the Rapture of the Church than “going to church” as it is usually read and preached on.

In order to test this idea for myself, I did a word study.

The phrase “the assembling of ourselves together” in Hebrews 10:25 is from the Greek word G1997: episunagoge = means to gather together in one place.

This word G1997, is only found in 1 other NT verse,

2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

In this verse it refers to the “gathering together” of the family of believers at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ

That sounds a lot like our gathering at the Rapture to me!

In the study that I heard, many years ago, aboutthis word and its use in Hebrews 10:25 the preacher concluded that the meaning of this verse might be paraphrased as,
“Not forsaking the EPISUNAGOGE (our gathering unto the LORD, ie the Rapture) as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching”

If there is one doctrine that has been all but abandoned as the apostasy progresses, it would be the Rapture of the Church. The hatred that the devil has for this Blessed hope is huge.
No wonder, then that we have this beautiful, encouraging verse in Hebrews 10:25 for the final leg of the race.

With much Love and blessings to all here at RFTH, let’s Keep Looking UP!

Michelle.

Re: My Absence Explained

hi to Val, Tammy, Kathy & all,
I've been focused on caring for my mom while she was visiting. the Lord willing she has had a smooth flight home today. God's word is true, so this is what I go to for comfort and direction. Nothing can take us out of the Lord's love or His keeping us, Romans 8 and John 10:27-30 tell us that. none of us is going to know all knowledge, all mysteries, get 100% understanding in this life. the fact that God's word is true is stabilizing in an increasingly rocky and unstable world. keep your trust in Jesus. Look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. you already know the preciousness of God's word, so I am talking to the choir, but I encourage you to stay listening to or reading in the bible, to have it be a regular part of your day and life. this world is full of anti God, anti Christ sentiments all over tv, social media, print media of various sorts, ungodliness making its way into laws and policies. keep the word of God in you and close to you. this is what will steady and ready the body of Christ, the word of God. all our righteousness is like filthy rags, thats what the bible says. it is in fellowship with Jesus that there is refreshing and hope and life and forgiveness and strength and enduring love. Love never fails. Love is what will remain in heaven, long after all questions and opinions are behind us. if I'm not posting, its not because i've given up believing Jesus about His calling the church home. Jesus hasn't changed His mind. He will call us as 1Thessalonians says, and I hope it happens soon.

Hi Regina,

Good to hear from you. I know you are one of faithful watchers for the Lord's Coming at the Rapture. Nice to hear you still have a Mom to care for; my dear Mom has been with the Lord now, since 1994. God bless your dear Mom, today and every day, and keep her until the Rapture.

Thank you for your encouraging post, with scriptural references. We can always know that God's Holy written word,
is inspired by God's Holy Spirit, given to Godly men and women, is true and all will come to pass in God's perfect timing.

In 2 Corinthians 1:3, God is called the “Father of compassion” and the “God of all comfort.” In His mercy and love, God is eager to provide comfort to His children in any and all circumstances. Whatever the trial we face, our Heavenly Father knows the situation and offers comfort as needed. The fact that He is the God of all comfort teaches that all comfort ultimately comes from Him. He is our source of peace and happiness and blessing.

Yes let us all continue to trust our Lord and Savior Jesus, for His divine word can be trusted without doubt whatsoever, because He is Son of God the Father, the God of Abraham, Issac & Jacob our God. Amen!

Maranatha!

Re: My Absence Explained

I'm back AGAIN!!!

Thanks to my local PC repair man, a brand new hard-drive he installed after removing the old one. The old 2011 one was running down...causing my PC a LONG time to load up. He removed the cellphone app too, while he was at it too. Plus, he fixed my audio so that I could once again, listen and watch videos. Phew!!!

And now, I no longer will dread getting on my computer.

Glad to have you back on the computer and all is well!

Kathy & All--

Isn't that THE truth!!! Also, my laptop PC is working "much" faster too to boot!!!:grinning:

I forgot to add, that Brett also added my favorite Tombstone fab foursome: Val Kilmer (Doc Holliday); and the Earp Brothers--Sam Elliot (Virgil), Kurt Russell (Wyatt), and the late Bill Paxton (Morgan), to where you usually see that big bluish Microsoft Window that is to the right of your icons. They're strolling from Allen Street, then down Fourth Street towards Fremont Street to head towards their rendezvous showdown with Ike Clanton, and the McLaury Brothers, that's between C.S. Fly's Boardinghouse & the Harwood House. In-other-words, they're far from the so-called notso OK Corral, where the showdown never did take place, 10/26/1881.

As for Kurt, I look beyond him to seeing Wyatt's sweet face...and I just want grab him, and hug him.
