1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Kathy & All--

This last Sunday night, following Columbo starring Peter Falk, Touched By An Angel followed, the previously mentioned TV series. In that TBAA episode, the story was about this little girl who is a huge Elvis Presley fan.

As she lay dying in her hospital bed, "Monica" (Roma Downey), I think, or was it "Tess" (Della Reese?) put on Elvis singing--"Precious Lord, Take My Hand".

FAIR USE FOR INFORMATION & DISCUSSION PURPOSES!

Here is Elvis singing this beautiful song without & with lyrics:

With lyrics:

Do you remember the above mentioned episode?

Re: Kathy & All--

I'm not sure I saw that episode, but it sounds interesting.

Re: Kathy & All--

Thanks Tammy for posting this song, it's beautiful, and I've listen to it many of times before.

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I'm weak, I'm lone

Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand, precious Lord
Lead me home

When my way grows drear
Precious Lord, linger near
When my light is almost gone
Hear my cry, hear my call

Hold my hand, lest I fall
Take my hand precious Lord
Lead me home

When the darkness appears
And the night draws near
And the day is past and gone
At the river, I stand

Guide my feet, hold my hand
Take my hand precious Lord
Lead me home

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I'm weak, I'm lone

Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand, precious Lord
Lead me home

Re: Kathy & All--

You're most welcome, Valerie, for me posting this beautiful song--"Precious Lord, Take My Hand." Now, we can listen to it all we want, b/c I also added it to the Songs of Worship & Praise forum too.

Kathy, do you also remember this man (in the above mentioned episode) trying his darndest to win his way to heaven by trying to do good deeds in that same hospital where the above little/or teenage girl was a patient in? Guess that he never read in the Bible:

Ephesians 2:8,9 NKJV
For by grace you have been
saved through faith, and that not
of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
not of works, lest anyone
should boast.

Then finally he does something right. He gives the dying girl a snowglobe with Graceland Mansion inside it as a gift, for which he discreetly tells her, "Since you won't get to visit Elvis' Graceland Mansion, I brought it to you."

Re: Kathy & All--

Nope, guess he didn't!

Do you remember which season that episode aired in?

I believe that it may have been the 2nd season, b/c our gorgeous Andrew (John Dye) was wearing his beautiful blond hair long...which made him look more angelic. :innocent:
