1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

It’s so cold out, a dog froze, sharks died and road salt is useless

2017's year-end arctic blast has turned deadly. Both a man and a dog have frozen to death in Ohio.

My Comments:

We have been experience this cold sub zero arctic blast here in Toronto, Ont., as well. Just a few days ago we were informed by the weatherman that WE HERE IN T.O. were COLDER by 4-5 degrees then the NORTH POLE. We set a new record since back to 1960, and just recently even further back to the 1800.

THE OUTDOOR NEW YEARS CELEBRATION AT CITY HALL HAS BEEN CUT SHORT, AND MAY EVEN BE CANCELLED ALTOGETHER...It's just too cold for man/women/child/beast. Hmmm, where is all this talk about Global Warming Mr.Al Gore, some are freezing to death.

I just pray, the electrical wires don't freeze up and we have another blackout, with no heat, no lights, like we did I believe 4 years ago. It was extremely difficult for old and young. Some people didn't get their electricity back up for weeks; people died in their own homes...we had to leave and go to our son's house, he had heat and electricity, etc. even our little male dog Furby, who died 2 years ago, came with us, our house was like a ice box frozen solid for days. The ice quakes on the roofs of houses, were a new experience, and the outlook for many looked dismal; however, God came through for those who leaned on Him for understanding, and made it through it all.

Well this freezing sub zero temperatures will continue through this coming first week of the New Year.
My husband, and I, and little daisy, will be home, where we are, every New Years Eve. We'll just cuddle up for warmth, with some hot chocolate...daisy too, cuddling that is,(no hot chocolate for her, LOL) and watch those brave souls outside bring in the New Year on the TV instead. Our Children and Grandchildren are staying home as well...hopefully it warms up, even a little, so people can get out and go about their jobs and regular chores.

How I miss the Spring..my favorite season...hope I'll dream it's springtime, Sun shining, warm breeze, birds singing, children playing, dogs barking, flowers blooming....!!! Maybe 4 months from now, it feels like 4 years from now..! BRRRRRR it's Freezing outside!!!

Re: It's so Cold out,.deadly arctic blast...is responsible for the deaths of...

We'll be getting the Arctic blast down here in southeastern Oklahoma, too. Today's high is supposed to be 33, and tomorrow and Tuesday's highs are predicted by the Weather Channel app to be 28 and 29. For the next few nights, including tonight, the lows are supposed to be in the teens.

I sure don't envy those who will be at New York's celebration tonight! Several hours outside in frigid temperatures?? Brrr!!! I'd rather watch it on TV from the comfort of our living room or my bedroom while I'm drinking eggnog.

Re: It's so Cold out,.deadly arctic blast...is responsible for the deaths of...

Valerie and all 😉,

It’s been a snow globe/blizzard like conditions here in Ohio since before Christmas Eve AND THE COLD has been unbearable!! I was so sad reading somebody died at a bus stop and that POOR DOG! That makes my heart SO SO SAD someone could EVER leave their dog or any animal out in this! We have a windchill advisory tonight with temps and windchills negative!!😬❄️

New Year’s Eve in for me too! Happy new year 🎊🎆🎈 to you and all here at rapture flight to heaven! May 2018 be it!!

P.S. I’ve been dreaming of springtime 🌷🌱🌸🌼☀️ (😉😉😉😉😉Maybe just maybe this is our long awaited rapture timing as well 😁). too!

❤️Amanda

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!!! Fellow RFTH family members!!!

It certainly sounds like that Day After Tomorrow movie you folks are experiencing these earlier winter days 'n' nights, doesn't it? While us Arizonans are experiencing temps in the 70s (highs) & 40s (lows)...temps forecasted to get up to the upper 70s later on in the week ahead.

While you folks are thinking of the New Year's Eve celebrations in your areas; my thoughts are west of us, over Pasadena, California...where the Annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl will be held.:rose: :ear_of_rice: :hibiscus: :sunflower: :tulip: :blossom: :cherry_blossom: There will be folks (New Year's Eve) from all over the U.S. (& maybe the world) lining up on the just mentioned parade route, to watch this parade go by. And then it's on to the Rose Bowl Games, for those whom are football games enthusiastes, later on. January 1, 2018, for them, seems to always turn out to being a beautiful warm and sunny New Year's Day there.

If you folks get the channel(s) for which the above parade airs, perhaps by watching it, y'all will be able to warm up...as you're watching those beautiful floats, marching bands, and equestrian units go by? Yes!?:sunglasses: :grinning:

I too, hope 'n' that our imminent Rapture happens as well.:airplane: :small_airplane:

:revolving_hearts: Tammy

P.S. Due to the constant terrorist threats, I surely hope that there will be a huge police turnout all along the above Rose Parade route, keeping watch over those lining the route of this parade, don't you?

Re: It's so Cold out,.deadly arctic blast...is responsible for the deaths of...

The OU Sooners will be playing in the Rose Bowl tomorrow. My family and I will be watching that (and rooting for the Sooners to win!), and I'm hoping to watch the parade before then. At least the football players will have pleasanter weather to play in than we're going to have here! =)

Re: It's so Cold out,.deadly arctic blast...is responsible for the deaths of...

Kathy, I saw your OU Sooners football team in today's :rose: Parade, and their marching band too. The band sang the Oklahoma musical theme song as well. Actress-singer, Shirley Jones starred in that musical!

FAIR USE FOR INFORMATION & DISCUSSION PURPOSES!

Valerie, why, even your fellow Canadian float & marching band too, was in this New Year's Day Tournament of Roses Parade, as well. Guess that they preferred visiting nice 'n' warm sunny California, by appearing in this parade, didn't they?:grinning:

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!!!

:revolving_hearts: Tammy

Re: It's so Cold out,.deadly arctic blast...is responsible for the deaths of...

Tammy, I have no idea if some Canadians participated in the Parade. No doubt about it, it was a lot warmer there. Those that did participate, where fortunate to be there, as we've been in the arctic freeze, and many outdoor celebrations were scaled down or cancelled. Nothing on TV. Canadian, that we could find. We watched the last few minutes of the ball drop in New York instead.

Happy New Year to you too Tammy, Kathy, Amanda and Everyone.

A “Monster Of A Storm” Could Hit The East Coast Next Week

“The potential for a strong coastal storm system is increasing next week as multiple pieces of energy come together. However, where this system tracks remains highly uncertain and will ultimately determine sensible weather impacts along the East Coast. Subtle changes to the forecast may be the difference between a snowstorm or more Arctic cold and little or no snowfall,” said Ed Vallee, a meteorologist who specializes in Northeast weather. As the New Year’s festivities begin, the increasing threat of a major East Coast snowstorm is possible for the second half of the upcoming week. Recent Weather Channel computer models are in agreement that a surface low-pressure system will develop off the Southeast coast Wednesday, then charge up the coast towards the north-northeast over the western Atlantic Ocean Thursday.

This is the area where we live in, Southern part of the province Ontario...Toronto Ontario. Brrrrrr, it's freezing! Valerie

"Fair Use for Information & Discussion Purposes"

Monday, January 1, 2018, 2:57 PM -2018 is off to a frigid start in southern Ontario as several cities have already smashed record low temperatures.

Extreme cold warnings remain in effect for most of the region, with windchill values near minus 30 expected to persist into Tuesday. (minus -30 degrees Celsius equals minus -22 degrees Fahrenheit in temperature)

Unofficial figures from the Arctic blast show Kingston dropped to a bone-chilling minus 30.9oC, breaking the previous record of minus 21.7oC set in 1968.

A brief reprieve from the extreme cold is expected by midweek ahead of the second wave of Arctic air, which will spill into the Great Lakes region through Thursday, driving daytime highs back into the minus teens for southern Ontario.

Meteorologist

Monday, January 1, 2018, 10:01 AM -2017 ended on a record-breaking cold note, and while hopes may be high for the start of the new year, temperatures won't be, as another round of bone-chilling Arctic air is set to sweep through eastern Canada in the first week of 2018.

After a brief respite from the worst of the cold through the early part of the week, a vigorous system moving up into Atlantic Canada, combined with a building ridge in the west, will allow another - potentially even colder - shot of Arctic air to rush into eastern Canada by the end of the week.

LOOKING AHEAD: Check back on January 3 for a look ahead at what we can expect for the first month of 2018 and beyond. Will the polar vortex continue to dominate or will we see an extended January thaw?
