1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American Brothers & Sisters in Christ Jesus!

A Daily Thanksgiving Prayer
"Dear God, Thank you for your amazing power and work in our lives, thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. Thank you for your great love and care. Thank you for your sacrifice so that we might have freedom and life. Forgive us for when we don't thank you enough, for who you are, for all that you do, for all that you've given. Help us to set our eyes and our hearts on you afresh. Renew our spirits, fill us with your peace and joy. We love you and we need you, this day and every day. We give you praise and thanks, for You alone are worthy! In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Re: Thanksgiving Day is tomorrow!

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all US brothers and sisters and all at RFTH.

Whilst we do not have this holiday celebration in Australia either, I like to spend the day giving thanks to the LORD for all His amazing provisions, His Faithfulness,His help and encouragement (which often comes from the folk here on the forum), His unfailing Love to us, His Grace and Mercy, His patience and gentle correction and guidance every single day. And for His Joy which carries us through all our trials, tests and victories of faith.

I am THANKFUL for you Valerie, and all who post on RFTH.
God Bless you this Thanksgiving Day, and every day until we meet together at the Harpazo.

You are continually in my prayers, and especially in the days leading up to your coming surgery.

In Jesus' love,

Michelle.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!:fallen_leaf: :maple_leaf:

I spent Thanksgiving alone, watching my favorite movies on the TCM channel. I'm very glad with the way things turned out. I was able to watch my favorite film of "all" time--NATIONAL VELVET:racehorse: starring the then 12-year old Elizabeth Taylor as "Velvet Brown" & King Charles (her real-life horse) as the "Pie". That is one film that I never tire of seeing.

Jumping ahead, I will be spending Christmas :ribbon: :gift: at my Auntie Carol's. My DSIL promised to pick me up on that Holiday, and together we'll go to Auntie's.

Anyhoo, I'm very happy to hear that you folks enjoyed your Thanksgiving.

It sounds as if you'll be having some fun, Tammy, and it sounds as if we've all had a good Thanksgiving. I sure did! =)

Yes, for sure, Kathy. I totally agree with you there.

Did you, by any chance, watch the above posted NATIONAL VELVET trailer? I hope. I hope. I wanted you all to see the trailer, so you could get the general idea of what this very delightful family oriented film is all about. And if so, what did you think about it?

Tomorrow, I give you my promise that I'll watch that TBAA video you posted above. OK?

 Tammy

Re: Thanksgiving Day is tomorrow!

Yes, I watched it. I don't suppose the entire movie itself is posted on YouTube, is it?

I have the TBAA episode posted above on DVD, and I watched it on Monday and "Heaven's Portal" on Tuesday. They're good!
