1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

REVELATION – Verse by Verse – Chapter 4:1-11 – God is still on the Throne

Published on Apr 12, 2017
Have you ever tried to read the book of Revelation? A lot of people start reading the bible and skip to the end to find out what happens. If you don't know what you are reading, this can be really scary. There are a lot of books and commentaries written about the book of Revelation, many are really good but most of them are outdated and rather boring. Come on now, we are in the 21st century and I think it’s time that we start thinking outside the box when it comes to the book of Revelation, after all it’s probably the greatest book ever written. Note I didn’t say think outside the Bible, I believe the best commentary on the Bible is the Bible itself. Revelation is the last of the 66 books that make up the Bible and it’s just like the Lord to save the best for last.

This is definitely not going to be your daddy’s study on the book of Revelation; we are living in a time of rapidly advancing technologies and in a world where terminology changes almost weekly. For far too long we have been stuck with ancient and outdated images regarding the Bible and especially the book of Revelation. When most of us read the bible our thoughts and images immediately take us back to ancient biblical times and while for the most part that works for the majority of the bible we must remember that the book of Revelation takes place in the near future. So, as we read through the book of Revelation we need to envision a world more like the futuristic world we see in the Star Wars series of movies, a world full of incredible sites and inspiring wonders, magnificent creatures and still this will not even fully encompass or even come close to what we will really experience.

You are about to embark on a journey through the final book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation. You might want to fasten your seatbelt because this journey is going to literally rock your world. The journey begins nearly 2000 years ago, on a small Greek island in the Aegean Sea and ends in the not so distant future in a Paradise that makes our wildest and dreams and imaginations pale by comparison. Along the way, you will meet some very interesting characters and experience sights and wonders that will literally take your breath away. So, join with us as we begin this exciting journey into the book of Revelation through are new Revelation Series – Revelation – Verse by Verse
