1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Valerie & Stephanie,

I thank you both for your prayers. s.

As I told Mark yesterday, that it wasn't too long ago that we lost our Uncle Gary to a steadily spreading brain tumor. That's why I began worrying about my brother, when he (Mark) mentioned that Vic too, has been afflicted with this very same disease.

I also began wondering why Vic's suffering from a series of heart attacks, esophageal cancer, and now a possible brain tumor too; is happening to him at once.

Then I was led to reading about our old friend, Job. Then I found this written by Anne Graham Lotz:

WHY DO PEOPLE SUFFER?

Why? This question was once put to Malcolm Muggeridge by a little boy in a wheelchair during a question and answer session. The boy had struggled to say something, but had been unable to do so. Mr. Muggeridge stepped down from the platform and walked to where the boy was seated. Putting his arm reassuringly around the boy's shoulder, he told him to take his time because he wanted to hear what the lad had to say. Finally, the boy blurted out, "You say there is a God who loves me."

"Yes," Mr. Muggeridge confidently replied.

"Then--why me?" the crippled boy inquired.

For a moment, Mr. Muggeridge was thoughtfully silent. Finally he explained, "God has asked a hard thing of you. But remember, He asked something even harder of His Son, Jesus Christ. He asked Jesus to die for you. And He did. Maybe this was His way of making sure you'd hear of His love and come to put your faith in Him>"

And the young questioner was introduced personally to God's Answer to his suffering, as he was just given Jesus.
--From out of my THE ANSWER NCV Bible.

The problem with my brother & SIL is, that they keep purposely rejecting Jesus. And they flatly refuse to listen to me! But I do know, however, that they'll listen to Gini, Char's Christian mother.

That is why Vic truly needs our prayers of healing...and that Mama Gini will reach out to him, the very same way Mr. Muggeridge reached out to that little boy, too.

PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR HIM! OK!?

Thank you.

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Tammy,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and WHY DO PEOPLE SUFFER? by Anne Graham Lotz. How beautifully written and expressed. There are many who are innocent, and are suffering, through no fault of their own, and wonder the same, "Why me".

When I think of all the years of suffering I've been through, I no longer think like I use too, 'why me Lord' ?. Now, I understand that this is what God has asked of me,to bear, and carry my own cross, therefore, I now say "Why not me"? Who am I,to tell God what to do? God is the creator, and I am His creation, may His will be done here on Earth and in Heaven. We truly understand the great love, that Jesus has for us, to suffer such torture, affliction, excruciating pain, and then death on the cross. This brings us into better understand and a closer relationship with the Lord, as we can more readily identify our suffers which teach us to have greater empathy for the many brutal suffering Jesus experienced, giving up His life willing as greatest sacrifice of all time.

Since God allowed His only begotten Son to suffer, carry his cross and die on it; then why not me; who am I to say what lies in the heart and mind of God. It is better to suffer, for God's plan, here on Earth, then to suffer in the pits of Hell for eternity. God's love is so great, as there is always a purpose and plan for our good, and the good of others in mind. God turns something bad into something good. We hope and pray for the best, as we should, but our time here on Earth is short even if we reach 100 years of age, one day our life will end.

Tammy, keep praying for your brother and family members for their Salvation through Jesus. We are all just passing through, and we must make our decision here on Earth. Life is short, no matter how long we live; but eternity never ends. I pray your lost family members will come to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. May your brother draw closer to Jesus, and realize how much Jesus loves your brother, that He died for him. There is no greater love than to die for another...in their place. I'll remember you and yours especially Vic in my prayers; please remember me and my family in yours!

Prayerfully,

Valerie

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Valerie & All--

From the reports I get as of late from my nephew & DNIL...

It seems that my brother, Vic, isn't getting any better. Over the weekend, Mark told me that he (Vic) had a bad cough, and was feeling rather weak and tired. And then this morning, Krystal, my NIL, said that he (Vic) wasn't feeling any better either.

As if that wasn't bad enough, Vic needed that cough like a major hole in the head...especially since he is still suffering from his esophageal and head cancer; he still is taking off 'n' on radiation therapy pills (as well as another prescribed pills) treatments. Thoughts of him coming down with pneumonia entered my head. His immune system has gone down, due to those radiation therapy pills messing up him up.

Which is why I'm asking you all to...

PLEASE KEEP ON PRAYING FOR HIM UNCEASINGLY!!! PLEASE!!!

Thank you so very much,

Tammy

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Tammy,

I'm sorry to hear that Vic is not doing so good. I can assure you that I will continue to keep your brother Vic, in my prayers. Praying for God's help and mercy for Vic,
and for those who are suffering with no one to pray for them.

Sometimes, that's all that is left that we can do Tammy, is pray, and trust God as we wait upon Him for his answer to prayers.

That is what I have been doing for my family as well, especially our daughter Lora.

Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy on Vic, and all those in need
for prayers answered from the Lord. Amen! Amen!

Prayerfully,

Valerie

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Thank you sooo very much, Valerie. You "know" that your constant prayers are most appreciated.

Between your daughter, Lora, and my brother, Victor...surely Jesus, our dearest Healer Physician, will show mercy on both of them, by healing them. Heaven knows, that they've suffered enough, haven't they?

You're sooo very right, prayers are all we have left.

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Valerie,

Thank you sooo very much for your comforting words, prayers, and condolences too.

I too, hope 'n' pray that Vic has gone to be with our Lord forevermore, and that he now is resting in peace...and that we'll see him in heaven when we're raptured.

Love 'n' hugs,

Tammy

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Tammy, sending my condolences, asking God our heavenly Father to comfort you and your family.

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Valerie & Regina--

Thank you sooo very much for your prayers and kind words of condolences.

Yesterday, Valerie, I started losing it, as I was reading your condolences to my now newly widowed DSIL, Char, over the phone. She told me to thank you for her too, for your kind words.

She, like me, is in total shock over her husband, Vic's passing. Even my nephew, Mark, and his new wife, Krystal, too. We're all in shock!

Vic, was taken up to our local hospice, because he was feeling so uncomfortably miserable. There, they gave him a shot that would make him more comfortable. It was there that he died peacefully in his sleep.

And now for the shock of losing him to wear off of the four of us.

Love in Jesus,

Tammy

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Tammy,

I join in prayer with Regina, that Jesus comforts your whole family who is now grieving for the loss of Vic. It's never easy to lose someone you love to passing on in death.

May Jesus be amongst all of your midst and comfort each one of you especially his wife. May God give you His peace that surpasses all understanding.

Our hope is in the Lord and the afterlife, in heaven, with our Lord Savior and Creator. No one loves Vic, you, or me, or any of God's children, more then the Lord our God. "Absent from the body, present with the Lord".

Stay close as a family, and closer yet to Jesus especially now, and lift one another, with hope and faith, that one day you will all meet Vic in Heaven. What an awesome day that will be, to meet up with our loved ones who have passed before us.

I'm praying for you and your family, that Jesus will be the comforting shoulder you can lean on knowing that the Lord will never leave you or forsake you.

Lord, Jesus, comfort Tammy, Vic's wife and the rest of the family during this trying time of grieving their loss of Vic. Lord please be present amongst them, and send them your loving peace that surpasses all understanding, that all is well with their loved one. Jesus you have overcome, death, hell and the grave; which gives us hope of eternal life in your presence forevermore. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. In Jesus name I pray and believe! Amen & Amen!

Tammy, I'll Praying for you and yours!

In Jesus' Love,

Valerie

P.S.

When my mother died suddenly at home of a sudden major heart attack, the good Lord send me a sign on the day of her burial. This bright rays of light shone so brightly over her open grave especially over the cross on the coffin. Immediately this peace fell over me and present family, that really did surpass all understanding. I remember smiling and looking up to the heavenly blue sky and thanking God for His mercy on her. To me it was a sign from God that Jesus was present with us, and that she was with the Lord, and was fine.

Absent from the body, present with the Lord. I believe - Amen!

Tammy,

I believe God gave me this message for you, Vic's wife and the rest of the family.

Each day I post the Today's Promise from the Bible, and I never know what the message from the Bible will be until I go to the site, which lists the one for the date in question. Well under TODAY'S DATE March 11, 2017, when I had finished posting my reply to you, it came time to post on that thread, and low and behold, I knew IMMEDIATELY when I opened the site, this was from the Lord. I had just finished posting to you about the peace that surpasses all understand, my experience with it during my mother's burial and a prayer for your peace that surpasses all understand.

I HAD NO IDEA, WHAT THE MESSAGE WAS FOR TODAY, UNTIL I CAME TO POST IT AFTER MY REPLY TO YOU. THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU AND YOURS FROM THE LORD.

THANKS BE TO GOD, FOR HE DOES WORK IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS AND THIS IS WHAT WAS AND IS POSTED:

"Fair Use for Information & Discussion Purposes"

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

Reflection
God gives us a peace that is able to transcend all understanding and will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Because we have been given peace with God, we are now able to experience the tranquility that He offers to His children. This peace is the product of prayer, petition, thanksgiving, and the presentation of our requests before God as it is described in the previous verse (Philippians 4:6).

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

Hi Valerie!

I too, (thanks to Jack & Rexella Van Impe, sending me this 2017 PROMISE CALENDAR, a while back) found this text for Saturday, 3/11/2017:

Psalm 84:11 KJV

For the LORD God is a sun and
shield; the LORD will give grace and
glory; no good thing will he withhold
from them that walk uprightly.

under the Courts of the LORD heading at the top of the page, in my JVI Prophecy Bible. When I read that, I felt even more comforted.

Oh, by the way, Mark, my nephew, told me that Vic had donated his body/or cadaver to a science foundation to study and take samples of the cancer that caused his death.

Anyhoo, I just thought that I ought to let you know. OK!?

Maranatha!

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR MY BROTHER!

**BUMP UP!!!**

Valerie, Kathy & All--

This morning, I talked to my DSIL on the phone.

When Vic had been admitted to that hospice hospital, I asked Char (when she phoned me this morning)...if he had been prayed over by a Man of the Cloth, there. She said that he hadn't.

She reassured me that after they prayed at home, she was certain that by God's infinite mercy, had taken him (Vic) home to his heavenly home. I hope 'n' pray that that is true, don't you?

Anyhoo, what do you make of this latest news from my DSIL? Do you feel yourself, that it is indeed true?

Please by all means let me know, OK!? Thank you.
