1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

   For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

What's Delaying The Rapture?

I, just like every one else have been struggling with what looks like a word on timing that is difficult to reconcile with what I believe Jesus has told us. The only exception that could qualify that is when the Lord last brought the subject up He said, “Minutes, minute by minute.” Since then I’ve gotten numerous people declaring I said this and I said that. One in particular said “She told us the day the Dome of the Rock was bombed would be the day of the Rapture.” Sorry you misunderstood, I said the day Miami was bombed. The Lord told me, “When you see the bombing of the Dome of the Rock, drop to your knees. That’s the beginning of WW3.”

This article by Joseph Chambers could very well be why Jesus is instructing us to stop praying for the world, do you think?

I don't believe that's what the Lord means, we should be praying for the world. It's just that God is merciful, and wants to answer all prayers for those who are lost, for God longs that non should perish but that ALL would be saved. If we truly love the Lord, then we love what the Lord loves, therefore, it's impossible for us to stop praying for this lost world. God has his cut off appointment as well, God the Father,
can in an instant, stop suddenly, when we least expect it, and say "Son, go and gather your Bride, the time has come". This will happen very shortly, because God knows exactly the last person to be saved, who they are, and when it will happen.
