1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Well, Valerie, you lost Furbie--now I'm going to lose Elmo.

Elmo's an old dog now--he was born in December, 2001--and he's in bad shape. His 2 front legs are broken, and his remaining teeth are in really bad shape. One of his canine teeth is infected; it's oozing puss and blood. He won't take his medicine; he's pretty much stopped eating; and he's been having diarrhea as of late. Today, we had to make a hard choice. We've decided to have Elmo put to sleep. That's going to be done tomorrow afternoon.

I was hoping that Elmo would be caught up in the Rapture with me when the time came, but it seems that God has other plans.

It's over. Elmo is gone.

Re: Well, Valerie, you lost Furbie--now I'm going to lose Elmo.

Kathy,

I'm so sorry to hear that Elmo died; I know how you feel. I wish I could be there to give you a big hug and comfort. Yes God had different idea for Elmo and Furby, however, they are waiting at Rainbow bridge for us. My condolence for your loss Kathy.

We still miss Furby, and it's been over 6 months now.

After 6 lonely months without our best friend, we decided to adopt a dog from the shelter, not to replace Furby, but to share our love of animals with a dog with no home. I name her Daisy, but many times I have called her Furby; it sticks after over 17 years.

I haven't been online today, come down with a fever, stomach virus...have been resting most of the day.

let you know I just came late this evening; last night I was so sick, with a fever, had to post the 3 sticky's this morning.

I'm praying that the good Lord will comfort you; our pets become part of our family;
and we mourn for them, and miss their presence, love, and playfulness.

Rest in Peace little Elmo

Valerie

Very pretty. At least he'll be waiting to greet me when Jesus brings us Home in the Rapture. (As will Furby be waiting to greet you.)

Sorry about you losing Elmo, Kathy. Many many moons ago, we had to have my Collie dog, King, taken to our local Vet's office, to have him put to sleep too.

So just like my, King...your Elmo too, will be waiting to greet you in heaven, when Jesus calls us home in the Rapture. (Valerie, I too, echo Kathy's words, re: your Furby.)

Maranatha!

All the more reason for the Rapture to occur quickly, then, so that we can all be reunited with our furbabies!
