1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Re: To Become As A Child

Thanks Tom D.,

"Matthew 18:1-5 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.”

How wonderful, isn't it, how God sees us like a child coming to the Father.

A child humbly trusts His father, and follows the Father with obedience to his words,
and commands. A child has faith in the Father, and waits on the Father to respond.
A child feels safe and sound in the father's arms, knowing, they can come to the father, whenever, knowing the Father is always there for them, and only wants what is good for the child. A child feels the love the Father has for his child, therefore, in turn, tries to please the Father, in doing what is right in his Father's eyes.

We have the greatest Father in Heaven, for God didn't spare His only begotten Son Jesus, but sent Him to die in our place for the sins of the world, because He loves All His children. What a loving act, of a Father, who didn't even spare His own Son, but sent Jesus to die on the cross, for all His children, who willing accept the sacrifice of His beloved Son. There is no greater love than to lay your life down for another.

God Bless,

Valerie
