1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

   For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

That's not going to happen. Not before the Tribulation anyway, and most likely, not before the Trib's second half.

Texas Sue, Thanks for sharing!

Not to worry, God is still in control, and His people look to God for protection from impeding disasters. Therefore, I'm aware, that tragic events happen, when we least expect them too. However, we need to prepare ourselves, if possible for the worst, whether be it a storm, war, etc. and pray for the best.

I don't believe it will destroy the Earth if it should hit. However, if an asteroid does hit somewhere in the world like it did in Russia, then yes, many will die in that region which will sustain much damage as well.

Now is the time to stay close to God, because no one is promised tomorrow.

Faith in God and His promise of love for His own, should give us peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing, God is with us, therefore, we need to let go of our fears of doom and let God handle that which we are helpless to do anything about anyways.

Look up our redemption draws nigh!
