Mega-pastor hijacks 'blood moons' discovery

Last week I posted a link for locations of the showing of the blood moons movie produced by pastor John Hagee of San Antonio. After reading the following article from World Net Daily I regret posting the link and have decided I will not attend the movie on Monday. Evidently Hagee is claiming credit for finding the tetrad phenomena when the credit actually goes to Mark Biltz of Washington state. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I say give credit where credit is due. Do whatever you like; however, I will not spend a dime to see this movie where credit has been stolen from the man to whom God had revealed this key sign in the heavens.

Besides serving as pastor of El Shaddai Ministries, Biltz is also Washington state director of Christians United for Israel, a pro-Israel organization founded by Hagee. Biltz invited Hagee to speak to his congregation in August 2012 at an event organized to honor Israel. Hagee spent a couple days in the Seattle-Tacoma area where Biltz shared with him what he had found in his blood moons research. He also provided Hagee with the original 2008 DVD teaching Biltz had done on the subject. That was Hagee’s first exposure to the blood moons phenomenon. Later, Hagee called Biltz to ask for more understanding.................

“Mark Biltz has given Hagee the benefit of the doubt for too long,” said Joseph Farah, chief executive officer of WND.com and WND Books, giving his opinions. “He overlooked a grave slight by Hagee in the way he handled his book – not crediting Biltz as the man who discovered the blood moons phenomenon. Instead, Hagee flattered Biltz as a ‘Bible scholar’ and suggested that it was a mere question by Biltz that set off his own discovery. The truth is, Biltz had thoroughly researched and presented the blood moons, and Hagee brought nothing new to the subject – treating it, comparatively, in the most superficial way in his own book. But now Hagee has crossed a bridge too far by claiming in his movie that he is actually the discoverer of the blood moons phenomenon. This is one of the definitions of plagiarism – misrepresenting the work of someone else as your own.”

Oh Wow, Texas Sue, I had no idea this was the case.

I agree with you, give credit, where credit is due; it's the right thing to do.

It just proves that no one is perfect, and it doesn't matter if you're a Pastor, or a regular Joe blow/Susie Q. We've all fallen short of God's Glory; I'm so grateful for Jesus and what He did for us. I can't imagine a world without Jesus, that would be a world without hope.

Valerie, it is very disappointing to see this kind of behavior in a Christian and especially a leader of a vast congregation. He should immediately retract his false statements and issue a public apology to Mark Biltz.

I think that shows a lack of integrity. But what he is teaching in one of his books is even more alarming. Check out this excerpt about it from the article.

Hagee’s own video promotions of that book emphatically state Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah of Israel.

“This book will expose the sins of the fathers and the vicious abuse of the Jewish people,” Hagee says in video promotions of the book. “‘In Defense of Israel’ will shake Christian theology. It scripturally proves that the Jewish people as a whole did not reject Jesus as Messiah. It will also prove that Jesus did not come to earth to be the Messiah. It will prove that there was a Calvary conspiracy between Rome, the high priest, and Herod to execute Jesus as an insurrectionist too dangerous to live. Since Jesus refused by word and deed to claim to be the Messiah, how can the Jews be blamed for rejecting what was never offered? Read this shocking expose, ‘In Defense of Israel.’



"Fair Use for informaiton and Discussion Purposes"

He actually teaches that the Jewish people as a whole did not reject Jesus as Messiah. Why? Because he claims that Jesus did not come to earth to be the Messiah, and that He refused by word and deed to claim to be the Messiah. So, in light of that, he asks how can the Jews be blamed for rejecting that which was never offered?

Believe the word of God, not Hagee

Editing to say, the Jewish people should not be blamed for the death of Jesus. It was in God's plan that He himself would atone for man's sin. Adam was in His image. God loved Adam and desired for the man and following children to be saved. We know that God is just and righteous. He is also merciful. So He created a flesh body, for Himself, His Son to live a sin free life and take the wrath of God that we deserve. A miraculous and costly payment once for all, so precious that the flesh life of Jesus that was given is enough to cover, to take away the sin debt of all who call upon Him asking for forgiveness. God set up a type of what He was going to do...the law of Moses system and sacrifice system. Only the priests could sacrifice, and only the High priest could go before God in the most holy place. This was God's plan of salvation, to wipe the slate of sin debt clean. We need to be thanking God for His plan and be grateful it was carried out or we would all be missing being able to be in His presence, presence of Holy God. What a costly role this has been for the precious Jewish people, being the ones in Jesus earthly family who have been ill spoken of because the role of the priests was to inspect Jesus, choose Him as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
What did Jesus say on the cross? Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.
The world needs to stop blaming the Jews and start thanking God for His love and grace given to us through His Son.
The High Priest had to reject Jesus, it was his role in God's plan to fulfill the example that God had given people of His plan, which was the sacrificial system. The High priest even said by the Holy Spirit, that one had to die rather than all-
John 11:48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

I for one am grateful to God for revealing to Pastor Mark Biltz about the pattern of blood moon eclipses. It has given renewed hope to many watching that our mighty God is in control. God is still upon the throne in heaven and He does not lie. At the appointed time in His plan, He will send His Son to gather the church and judge the wicked.
Come quickly Lord Jesus. You are the only hope for ruling this world in righteousness with a just balance.

Valerie, T/Sue, Regina, Lisaleenie & fellow RFTH family members--

It "does' make one wonder "what" Bible, Pastor John Hagee has been studying, doesn't it!?

And I believe in "the" Word...not John Hagee. For Jesus has said throughout the Bible, that He is indeed "the" Messiah, and believe Him too.

From John 3:16,17 NIV, Jesus also said, as He was speaking to Nicodemus...

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
