A hair-raising video has emerged that a car full of masked robbers exploding moments after they raided a church in Russia - and witnesses insist they were hit by lightning.

The dash cam footage uploaded by YouTube user World News TV, shows a vehicle speeding along with a police siren sounding in the background.

It didn't get hit with lightning. The chased car was over the white line and hit an oncoming car. Stop the frames carefully and see it.

The report says it's alleged that the car was hit by lightning; however, I agree with Mike T., that it wasn't Lightning. I do believe it could have been some short of divine intervention, that the car exploded or perhaps a head on collision with a car from the other lane headed into the wrong lane.

Either way, they were killed, for stealing, from all places a church.
I think they would have given anything to go back in time, and decided otherwise, not to rob the church, they might of still been alive. Unfortunately not everyone gets a second chance to make retribution.
