Franklin Graham on Fox News: War on Christmas is ‘All Over the Country’

Franklin Graham went on Fox News’ Kelly File last night to talk about the country’s growing trend of taking Christ out of Christmas.

“It’s all over the country. You have the secularists and humanists who are wanting to take Jesus Christ out of His birthday and they’re wanting to deny He ever existed and take His name off everything,” Franklin Graham said.

“And that’s what’s happened. This has infiltrated now our government. Our government is now attacking Christmas. Not only attacking Christmas but the name of Christ.”

The show host Megyn Kelly cited example after example of society attacking Christmas, including a Minnesota courthouse banning red poinsettias because someone claimed it a Christian symbol and the largest school district in Maryland voting to strip religious holidays after Muslim leaders complained.

“That’s the world at which we live. I think we as Christians, not that we fight back, but that we stand up and let our voices be heard,” Franklin Graham said.

“I think it’s time that Christians write their politicians and stand up to defend their rights because if you don’t, we’ll lose them.”

Stores, schools and communities across America continue to find new and intolerant reasons to remove any religious references to Christmas, stripping it of any holy or historical significance. Christian songs, prayers and other spiritually vital connections to the Lord Jesus Christ are deleted or diminished.

Two flagrant examples:

In Ramsey County, Minn., the courthouse banned red poinsettias because someone deemed them a “Christian symbol.”

A Veteran’s Administration hospital in Augusta, Ga., adopted a policy banning religious Christmas songs in public areas.

But none of this should surprise us.

That’s because at its root and core, the war on Christmas isn’t really about Christmas at all—it’s about the Son of God. The war on Christmas is a war on Christ and His followers. It’s the hatred of our culture for the exclusive claims that Christ made: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

The three of us Kathy, Susan & Myself, keep Christ in Christmas.
Too many NON Christians, are trying to get rid of the word "Jesus"
as they hate, Jesus, and what He stands for. They don't want His name mentioned and wiped off the face of the world if possible.

It doesn't matter what day the Lord was born on, it matters that Jesus came into the world on a day where everything changed, the Light of the world dispelled the darkness, at long last.

Happy Birthday Jesus, 365 days a year; choose a day you'd like to celebrate, and with joy in your hearts, remember there came the day, the Lord was born of a Virgin,
came into this world as a babe in the Manger as a beloved Messiah & Savior. It matters not what day you celebrate it matters who you are celebrating, the Son of God, our Precious Lord and Savior.

Jesus knows the heart of every person, He knows, if He is the center of your life or
the center of celebrating Christmas. As long as Jesus is front and center, in your lives and all of your celebrations, you should have no concerns no matter what anyone may tell you.

Crosses are coming down, prayers are not allowed in many places, Commandments are
being covered up, not to offend...our laws are based on the Commandments. These are just some of the many things, which are happening in our life time. We as Christians must stop this, and remind people, that Satan is a clever entity, who would like more than anything to wipe the earth of any mention at all of Jesus, His name, and what He stands for; our Messiah and Savior, and no one comes to God the Father except through Jesus.

Don't want to celebrate Christmas fine with me, but don't tell me that I can't or shouldn't celebrate Jesus on Christmas, be it on Dec. 25th, Jan. 7th Orthodox Christmas or any other day.
