This posting is dedicated to the forever memory and honor of Valerie, who was the founder of, and the inspiration for, this Web site.  The Web site will continue to operate in Valerie's remembrance, as requested by her family.  God bless!

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

   For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

When I saw Jesus (in the spirit in one of my series of Rapture dreams), His hair dangled down onto His shoulders, just like that photo, Valerie, you used for your avatar. As for His face, I didn't exactly see His face, but His beautiful blue eyes.

This photo of our Lord is so amazing!


Akiane Kramarik sits next to her portrait of Jesus, called ''The Prince of Peace.''

Akiane first paints the face of our Lord.

Then Colton Burpo dies and goes to heaven and sees Jesus and validates Akiane's painting.

And now A man named Randy prayed to the Lord and asked if this was really His face. The Lord validated the painting for him through a childhood friend he hadn't seen in 42 years! Incredible...

I'm bumping this thread back up to the top.

I couldn't help but notice the similarities between Valerie's RFTH photo of Jesus receiving His bride AND the portrait of Him that was painted by that little girl.

PLEASE take notice of Jesus' hairstyle in both photos, and you'll see why. OK!?

Thank you, Tammy and Julie. Really interesting. That young girl's painting looks like the picture from the Shroud of Turin. The Bible says in Isaiah 53:2 that, "He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him." In other words, Jesus had an ordinary face, not handsome. But to me, He is beautiful and my greatest desire to be with Him more than anyone.

I totally agree 100% with you, Lisa, regarding the last sentence of your post!!! I too, greatly desire to be with Him more than anyone else as well.

As the chorus of this hymn goes...

Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

Jesus does indeed, just as this hymn implies--has a 'wonderful face'!!!
