Airstrikes Begin: U.S. Navy Planes Drop Bombs on ISIS Forces

"Fair Use for Information & Educational Purposes"

The United States dropped laser-guided bombs on ISIS artillery in Iraq on Friday, the Pentagon said — the beginning of airstrikes threatened a day earlier by President Barack Obama.

The bombs, 500 pounds each, were dropped by two Navy F-18 fighter jets near Erbil, the strategically important city that serves as the Kurdish capital, and where the United States has a consulate. ISIS was using the artillery to shell Kurdish forces defending Erbil, the Pentagon said.

The fighter jets took off from the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush, in the Persian Gulf. The mission marked a return to U.S. military engagement in Iraq, three years after Obama removed U.S. forces.

We have had war since the beginning of time and millions have been killed because of evil men who want to control but God says "The Wicked have no Peace" and there is coming a day (Set Appointed Time) that Jesus will make everything right and we will know war no more.

All this means to me is, the Rapture is going to happen anytime now, the tribulation is so close now that it may be just hours away, which means our departure is now; anytime now!

I totally agree with you 100%, Valerie!!!

Yesterday afternoon, I told our favorite Mailcarrier, who happens to be a fellow Christian AND brother-in-Christ...that we'll be going home soon.

I also told him as food for thought, why I feel our rapture is sooo near. I surely hope 'n' pray that I made his day.

The U.S. military says American jet fighters and drones have conducted four more airstrikes on Islamic militants in Iraq, taking out armored carriers and a truck that were firing on civilians.

The United States launched another round of air strikes Sunday against Islamic militants in Iraq, destroying several armed vehicles, according to the Defense Department. The five attacks by U.S. fighter jets and drones destroyed four armed Islamic State vehicles -- starting with one that was firing on Kurdish forces near the city of Irbil.
