1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

Good article Valerie! Looks like war is about to break out in a big way in the mideast and possibly worldwide. I am wondering if this ISIS group will be the trigger of the Psalm 83 war that Bill Salus wrote about? In that Psalm the motive for the war is hatred of Israel and vowing to wipe it off the map. They are the most hate-filled group yet in that area.

The Ezekiel 38-39 war is motivated by gain - they come to take a spoil. We can see that building as well with Russia and Ukraine. Israel has that huge new gas and oil reserve right at its coastline now and Russia will be coming after that eventually. That is why Russia is trying to take back the Ukraine - gas. Also ISIS is taking over all the oil production areas in Iraq so they are a threat in a very big economic way. Money talks, walks and goes to war.

Good points, all of them! However, Israel has to be living in peace (albeit, a temporary false peace) when Russia and its coalition set out to invade it. That false peace will not begin until the fateful 7-year covenant has been confirmed and the Tribulation is in progress. We won't be here to see the Gog-Magog invasion, although we might possibly be here to see the Isaiah 17 destruction of Damascus (time will tell about that). We're already seeing Psalm 83 come to pass.

i'm wondering about Damascus because of IS
as an aside, Valerie, Sue, Kathy, Tammy & all, God told Moses to tell the children of Israel that "I Am" sent him.
Now followers of a fake god call themselves the islamic state, using initials "IS"
They are about to be "IS not" when God gets through with His enemies. Good Video Valerie of Sodom and Gomorrah.
The power of the living God is vastly greater than the army of IS. They is nothing next to God.
