1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

I love this German Translation of the"Bride waiting for her Bridegroom"

"Fair Use for Information & Discussion Purposes"

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

From the site: "I have a German translation (Elberfelder) that renders this passage literally (let me try to translate from German to English)":

"...because you kept the word of waiting on me [=on my return!]...". It means that the ultimate reason to be spared from the hour of temptation (through the rapture!) is not because of having more intellectual understanding, more power to perform miracles, more wisdom, more spiritual strength, a more Jewish perspective etc.. ...but because of KEEPING THE WORD OF WAITING! Imagine a bride waiting for her bridegroom. She does not need special faith or power to perform miracles, wisdom, spiritual superhero-strength, Jewish understanding etc., the only thing that qualifies her according to Revelation 3:10 is that she guards the promise of his return in her heart more than anything else and keeps waiting patiently, and does not get distracted by other things offered in this world. She can do that because she knows how much she is loved by her bridegroom, made righteous through him (and she fully embraces that righteousness!), and she herself utterly loves the bridegroom - all the rest will come by itself, step by step, as a result of that love.

Julie, Thanks for sharing.

Very nice translation, I like it very much too!

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

"..but because of KEEPING THE WORD OF WAITING!"

Let us continue to wait on the Lord, to wait patiently, and not let anything
of this world distract us. Because of the Lord's great Love, righteousness,
which intercedes by the bridegroom for the Bride, she utterly loves the Bridegroom, and is therefore, able to endure the wait. Because of such love, everything will fall into place by itself one by one.
