Breaking News:

US: No sign Russia pulling back troops from border

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says the United States has seen no indication that Russian troops are pulling back from the Ukrainian border despite an order from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

White House spokesman Jay Carney says if Russia had pulled its troops back, the U.S. would know and would be able to confirm it publicly. He says the U.S. would welcome a withdrawal of the 40,000 Russian near the border with Ukraine.

The Kremlin said Monday that Putin was ordering the troops to return to their home bases in an apparent attempt to de-escalate the crisis over Ukraine.

Carney is pointing out that Putin has made similar announcements previously. The U.S. and NATO have said they saw no signs of a pull-out following those announcements.

It's getting really bad in Ukraine, many innocent people have been killed.
Now there are over 500 Russian militant renegades, that are ready to prevent
any of the Ukraine people to come and vote on Sunday May 25th. Many more will
die. God only knows, how terrible and horrific the violence will become,
as people will be prevented to vote for the new President of Ukraine. Ukraine
is the birthplace, of my parents and grandparents, whom are with the Lord now.
Please pray, that God will help the Ukrainian People, to receive justice, so that they may have a fair vote, and keep their country free, and not under communist rule anymore.

May God have mercy on those who are fighting for freedom, justice, and truth, and protect them and their families, through these trying times, I pray.

Ukraine crisis: Donetsk sees deadliest attack on troops

A dawn attack on a checkpoint in eastern Ukraine has left at least 14 soldiers dead, in the worst loss of life for government forces to date. Heavily armed militants attacked the checkpoint in the Volnovakha area, in one of four attacks reported overnight in eastern Ukraine. It is unclear who attacked the checkpoint, with one Ukrainian officer telling the BBC it was not separatists.
